For fans of sports cars, it is definitely memorized by this fierce & intimidating look. Yes, the proud American supercar, Viper. A wild machine like a hungry snake, wild handling that needs the ability to control it, and an aggressive design, who doesn't know about this car?
Although it has a terrible image, but if you already know the ability and how to control it, then the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR will turn into a killing machine on the circuit, as evidenced by Mopar, the official home modification of the Chrysler Group and the Wittmer Ancient racer.
With the SRT10 ACR (American Club Racer) version, the Viper was able to destroy the lap record at Miller Motorsports Park with a time of 1: 59,995, 4 seconds faster, far leaving a record previously printed by Corvette ZR1 piloted by Jan Magnussen (2: 03.86). Dodge viper VS Corvette ZR1
Amazingly, this time the 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR record was printed on the Outer Course version of the Miller Motorsport Park circuit, which first started when the Viper record was printed. Really patent!
Kuno Wittmer himself said "This Viper ACR is really crazy", capable of being driven completely on the circuit to the maximum extent, and I am sure that I am able to brush all corners without error".
The Viper SRT10 ACR, which is the latest version of the Viper before stopping production, also has a respectable reputation as a lap record destroyer, such as at Laguna Seca (2009, 1: 33.92), and European pride circuit, Nordschleife (2008, 7: 22.1).
As we know, the Dodge Viper SRT10 is a sportcar that uses a giant engine, the 8400cc V10 that comes from a Dodge RAM truck, making it have giant power. For the ACR version itself, this engine is modified to be able to produce power of 600hp and phenomenal maximum torque, 760nm!
With lighter weight and better aerodynamics than the usual Viper, the ViperACR version can accelerate from 0-96km/h in just under 4 seconds and the maximum speed is 296 km/h.
Standard for the size of a racing car? This is not a special advantage of American sports cars, because the actual capabilities of the Viper are felt to be driven from 0-402m, because it only takes 11 seconds less! Still not thrilling? This is another performance: 0-161km/h then stops, only takes 11 seconds. Crazy!
To hold back that much power, Mopar did 2 ways. First, to increase its compressive power, a carbon fiber air splitter in front and a giant wing that can be arranged at the rear, making it able to withstand a pressure of 453.6kg at a speed of 241km/h. Certainly it is useful to further "glue" Viper ACR with circuit asphalt.
The second is on the legs. Mopar works with KW Suspension to make a special 2-lane suspension that can be adjusted with competition specs, as well as brake devices from StopTech that hide behind lightweight aluminum wheels wrapped in tires in the Michelin PS Cup competition.
With all the impressive capabilities of the Viper ACR, who dares to challenge him? Crazy, wild & fast. Certainly even the Lamborghini & Ferrari will think long if you want to challenge him on the circuit!
