And of course, a sports sedan, especially a muscle car coupe, is not a wise choice. Is it true?
Muscle car from its golden era (60s-70s), even though it was made by Americans (and Australians) who have quite spacious cabins, on average only have 4 seats, and luggage space which of course is not right for carrying a lot of things like groceries. Is there a solution?
Joe Ramp, one of the muscle car builders & restoration specialists has a solution. Create a new construction, with a station wagon / estate configuration! However, looking at the number of doors & designs, I think the Mustang is in the style of Shelby G.T. 350 is in the category of Shooting Brake, just like this Chevrolet Corvette & of course Ferrari FF.
Why enter the Shooting Brake category? Of course because the design is similar to a hatchback, but uses a 3-door door, but has the same silhouette as the station wagon. Joe Ramp himself uses the base of the first generation Mustang hardtop, with a design similar to one of the "official" Mustang Wagons, Intermeccanica Station Wagon.
Of course, even though it looks like a car that is suitable for everyday needs, a powerful and powerful engine typical of the muscle car must be maintained. However, to be more comfortable & easy to maintain, the "Windsor" V8 engine innate by the Mustang was replaced with.
New Ford V8 5000cc engine injection! The engine uses the Ford EEC-IV engine management system, as well as an induction mass-water system, which makes the old Mustang's taste maintained, such as the sound of dual exhaust & torque that is soft but poking, a muscle car characteristic of its golden period.
The suspension system itself still uses the original so that it still feels like the 60's Mustang, but because of its greater power, Joe installed a custom control arm on the rear axle and a new suspension to make it more stable. The brakes themselves use a modern Power Disc Brake, which hides behind the original Mustang wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T / A tires measuring 215/70/15.
But still, the Mustang's interior is in the spotlight. Vinyl & white coated vinyl that fits in with the gold stripes on the exterior, the interior is really pretty & awesome! Try to imagine, driving a car that is already using this new center console, in the afternoon, on a smooth & beautiful road while listening to the strains of V8 sounds typical of America ... Ahhh ...
We're talking about the first generation Mustang, one of the world's automotive legends that is famous for its ferocity! And with the station wagon version, it will certainly feel more special because we can drive with family comfortably.

Is this Mustang still in the original "Mustang" category? Yes you can or no. But according to musclecarride, seeing Joe Ramp's very neat creations, even like OEMs, of course many people would consider this Mustang really born from FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company).
Now the problem is, this car was auctioned yesterday by RK Motors for $ 59.990, of course, the price is quite expensive considering we can get the latest generation Mustang. But, nothing can beat the sensation of the first generation Mustang, with a modern engine, in the form of a station wagon that is second to none.
A very badass car, but still practical? Hell yeah!
