There are several cars used in a more famous film of the green Mustang Fastback car from the Bullit movie of 1968, the 10 minute scene on the San Francisco Strip is among the best scenes in film history, Bullit has won the Academy Award as Best Film Editing.
In 2007 the film was chosen by the United State National Filem Registry as a car culture, a significant history and this is a tribute rarely earned by other action films. Co-producer of the film company McQueen Solar Production, Frank Bullit who plays the San Francisco Police Inspector (Dave Toschi) who also became famous for investigating the Zodiac killer murder.
The Ford company sent 3 Highland Mustang fastback cars and a consecutive ViN number to Warner Bros. for shooting the movie, both modified by a famous car builder who was also a racer named Max Balchowsky.
In a 10-minute chase scenario involving a car jump in the San Francisco bridge which is now known as the Jump down San Francisco steep road. Balchowsky modified the front shockbreaker with a heavy-duty shockbreaker and reinfroced shock towr.
The anti-roll-bar is made stronger on the front, as well as the Koni shoch absorber, the engine is enhanced by using ported head and Carburettor and ignition on upgrades.
Mustang Fastback GT in the film uses the specification of the S-code engine 390 cc (6.4 liter) v8 combined with 4-speed manual transmission, removable fog light and does not use badge pony but using badge with Mustang and GT, wheels using American Racing Torq which until now can still be ordered even after 50 years of production.
The engine generates power of 320HP and 427 lbft of torque, acceleration of 0 to a quarter mile traveled within 13 seconds at 105mph.
Two cars used in the filet survived only 1, the other was crashed and
