This is a masterpiece after standing since the early 1967 muscle car named Mustang Shelby. 2017 Shelby Super Snake 50th Anniversary edition of one of the best muscle car in the world and in limited production.
Based on the 2017 Ford Mustang GT, the new Super Snake will be offered in only 500 units with a starting price of just $69,995 MSRP. Thanks to the collaborating with partners like Ford Performance, Borla, Michelin and Wilwood Shelby American has created even more focused car than the previous Super Snake models.
Shelby American unveils the all-new 50th Anniversary edition of its famous Super Snake at the Ford Performance exhibit during the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.
It benefits from Exclusive Ford/Shelby spec dampers, sway bars, springs and bushings, Wilwood 6 piston calipers on floating rotors (front) and 4 piston calipers (rear), Shelby exclusive brake/bearing duct cooling system and 20-inch black or polished Forged Aluminum Wheels shod with Shelby spec performance tires.
Under the hood 48/5000 has very powerful specifications, Ford’s iconic 5.0-liter V8 powertrain is now supercharged and delivers 670 hp (449 kW) as standard, while when outfitted with optional, a more powerful Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharger will be able to produce over 750 hp (559 kW).
According to the company, a properly optioned Super Snake can hit 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, on pump gasoline and Michelin street legal tires, and blaze through the quarter mile in only 10.9 seconds and deliver an amazing 1.2g on the skip pad.
On the outside, one look at the Super Snake reveals unique smooth Shelby styling and all of the exterior bodywork was modeled digitally using CAD, with almost all Shelby-exclusive components were developed and tested with original equipment manufacturers.
It features a new hood, rockers, spoilers, splitters, grilles, Shelby Exclusive Integrated LED fog lights, rear tail panel, rear diffuser assembly, anniversary stripes and badges. Inside, the anniversary theme continues featuring a new gauge cluster with exclusive Shelby by Automater wireless gauges and an official Shelby Serial number on a dash plaque. There’s also anniversary logos on the seats and floor mats, special door sill plates.
