"The new Genesis G70 will attract customers thanks to the latest design and innovations in dynamic safety and luxury," said a Hyundai Genesis official.
Genesis has revealed the G70 Shooting Brake, a car the company says has been designed specifically with European customers in mind.
The new sporty estate model is based on the G70 saloon revealed last year, and measures the same: 4,685 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,400 mm tall, with a 2,835 mm wheelbase. However, the luggage space is 40 per cent larger than the saloon and its rear seats can be split-folded in a 4:2:4 format.
Inheriting its design from the G70 saloon, the Shooting Brake’s signature “Crest Grille” is set lower than the quad lamps, which spread outward to evoke what the designers says is “a sprinter’s pre-race posture”.
“The G70 Shooting Brake marries luxury and European automotive heritage with our design philosophy of Athletic Elegance. Our fifth car in Europe, the Shooting Brake will stand apart through its unique design; it is a clear statement of our commitment to the region,” adds Dominique Boesch, MD of Genesis’ European division.
The reveal of the new model follows the company’s recent announcement that Genesis will arrive in Europe this summer.
Through the photos distributed, Hyundai reveals the details of the changes to the sedan that is a competitor to the Mercedes Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and BMW-3 Series.
