The wide body concept began with the popular 50th Anniversary Shelby Super Snake that comes powered by a 750hp supercharged Coyote 5.0-liter V-8. Shelby updated the vehicle with hardened wheel studs, stronger spindles and hubs as well as with fully adjustable coil over suspension system, new rear lower control arms, a 4-inch wider rear track and a 2.5-inch wider track up front.
Shelby has introduced its 2017 Shelby Super Snake wide body concept at its corporate headquarters in Southern California. This is a company’s first concept vehicle introduced in over a decade and for the first time on newest generation Ford Mustang platform.
To complement the wide body status Shelby also added a more aggressive wheel and tire package to put all 750 horsepower to the road. Regarding stopping power, the 2017 Super Snake Concept has massive, four-piston Brembo calipers and 16-inch rotors at the front and 14-inch rotors at the rear hidden behind their 20-inch alloys shod in Michelin performance tires.
